The following field list provides directions and suggestions for configuring your Email settings

  • Website email – Email address the website uses for all outbound communication and notifications. Recipients of your website email/notices see this address in the FROM field.
  • Webmaster contact email – DEPRECATED. Use Website email, above.
  • Max Attachment Size – Determines the maximum size of a file that can be attached to a form, in MB.
  • Send Method – Leave this as SMTP.
  • SMTP Server – This is the SMTP Server your site connects to. The default should be localhost. LVSYS typically configures this setting before delivering your website. If you wish to use an external SMTP server, then enter that SMTP server address in the field. Example: smtpout.secureserver.net (godaddy).
  • SMTP Port – This is the SMTP Server your site connects to. The default should be 25. LVSYS typically configures this setting before delivering your website. If you wish to use an external SMTP server, then enter the value required by your SMTP server host (usually 25 or 587).
  • SMTP Authenticate – Leave the value as NO for localhost, otherwise follow your SMTP server recommendations (typically YES). LVSYS typically sets this value before delivering your website.
  • SMTP User – Enter the username of the user authorized to login to your STMP server (default is none), otherwise follow the recommendation of your SMTP host. LVSYS typically configures this setting before delivering your website.
  • SMTP Password – Enter the password of the user authorized to login to your STMP server (default is none). LVSYS typically configures this setting before delivering your website, otherwise follow the recommendation of your SMTP host.
  • Mail Bridge –Determines whether posts sent via email (articles, blogs, events, etc.) are made active (live) when the system receives them. The email address sending the articles must be approved by LVSYS. For security reasons, you must call or email LVSYS support for approval.
